Disabled Parking Volunteer Program Seeking Volunteers

To a Disabled Parking Enforcement (DPE) Volunteer You Must:

  • Be a U.S. Citizen
  • Have no felony convictions
  • Complete a four hour training course

Please Remember:

  • A vehicle must display a special license plate issued under Section 504.201 or display a placard provided by Section 681.006 on the rearview mirror of the vehicle's front windshield even if the driver or passenger has a disability. Disabled veteran plates with “DV” as part of the plate number may also park in disabled spaces
  • A disabled parking placard must be visible and unexpired. You may NOT park in a disabled space unless the person with a disability is with you, even if your trip is for a person with a disability (e.g. running to the pharmacy for a prescription)
