Board Applications
The Travis County Commissioners Court is seeking applications from qualified individuals to serve on the boards of the Housing Authority of Travis County, Texas (HATC), and the Strategic Housing Finance Corporation (SHFC).
The Housing Authority exists to provide safe, decent and sanitary housing for low income families in Travis County. The five members of the Board of Commissioners serve two-year terms. Two appointments are available for terms from January 1, 2013 to December 31, 2014.
The Strategic Housing Finance Corporation issues bonds and utilizes Low Income Housing Tax Credits to finance its housing acquisitions and new developments. Terms on the seven-member Board of Directors are for six years. The Court wishes to fill two vacancies on the Board of Directors by January 1, 2013. The term of one appointee will expire on December 31, 2015; the term of the other appointee will expire on December 31, 2016. Qualified candidates are encouraged to apply for membership. The deadline for applications is Friday, November 30, 2012.
